  • Dr. Navin C Raina is a qualified General Surgeon with special training in advanced laparoscopic Surgery from USA. He has over 33 years of rich experience in the field of Surgery/GE of which nearly fourteen years have been with India’s largest Corporate Hospital Group – The Fortis Healthcare at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, Panjab (India).
  • He has had an illustrious career both in India and abroad, which includes his Services as Head of Surgery and Gastroenterology at MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya.
  • While Dr. Navin is well known in Kenya for his outstanding professional work, he holds the distinction of performing highly specialized Minimal Access Surgery (Laparoscopic Splenectomy) successfully for the first time in Kenya besides his participation in setting up Bariatric Surgery Unit and performing many Bariatric Surgery procedures while at MP Shah Hospital.
  • He is also known for starting the first and the only Post graduate study program at MP Shah Hospital in the Department of Surgery under the auspices of the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa way back in 2017.
  • He volunteered to train young doctors in laparoscopic procedures and GI Endoscopy at various places in Kenya particularly in collaboration with OTPAK (Operation Theatre Practitioners Association of Kenya).
