She is a Gold Medallist and has attained a Masters Post Graduate degree in Physiotherapy from Padmashree institute of Physiotherapy, Bangalore, India in 2009. She specialized in Neurological Rehabilitation.
She practiced in prestigious Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) in Mumbai, a state of art tertiary care facility which works with the best names in rehabilitation medicine in the world.
She was exposed to the best technology such as Gait and motion analysis, isokinetic dynamometer, aqua treadmill, dynamic post urography, etc.
In 2012 she moved to Kenya and has worked at multiple facilities since then. She has lectured at the Great lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK). Currently, she consults at Aga Khan Hospital and Maxcure Hospital in Kisumu.
She has over 16 year of experience in managing patients. Neurological rehabilitation being her forte she has worked on several Stroke, Parkinson’s, CP, nerve injury, Traumatic brain, and spinal cord injury cases to name a few.
She is also proficient in handling cases of other specialties such as musculoskeletal, cardiothoracic, pediatric, geriatric, women’s health, etc.
An active team player and a firm believer in an interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach to patient management for the optimization of results.
A keen and enthusiastic learner keeps abreast with research and evidence-based practice with the goal of “adding life to years” of her patients.

Outside of work, Bijal loves to dance, travel and try new things. She is a member of the Hindu Council of Kenya, Kisumu branch, and heads the kids club.
